🌱 British Grassland Society Summer Meeting! 🌱 This week, our Technical Sales Agronomist for South-West England, James White, enjoyed attending the British Grassland Society Summer Meeting across 3 days. James visited 6 farms and attended their tours at: - Folly Farm - North Farm Horton - Hemsworth Farm - Launceston Farm - Marshalls Farm - Linch Farm Quite a jam-packed few days, but James very much enjoyed it as it provided a unique opportunity to explore different systems of grassland management, gaining valuable insights and tips to apply to farm businesses. 🚜 The BGS Annual Dinner also took place, offering a chance to meet up with other grassland enthusiasts to discuss the farm tours and all things grass and forage. Insightful talks were given at the farms, discussing various aspects of grass and forage. Holstein UK Celebration and AGM ⁠ This week Roger Bacon, our Regional Sales Manager for North England & Wales attended the Holstein UK Celebration & AGM event! 🎉 Roger caught up with the president of the British Holstein Society, Nick Hellier 🤝 It was a jam-packed day filled with all things farming with a special herd visit to Clampitt and Hinton Holsteins 🐄 We enjoyed chatting with you all, and look forward to the next one! She has a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture with Crop Management and passed her BASIS Crop Protection Exam, improving her practical knowledge on farm. 🚜   Emily grew up on a small family farm in Essex and attended the local young farmers club as well as spending a lot of time at her local swimming pool, training twice a week and occasionally competing. Each tiller consists of a basal stem and can support up to 3 growing leaves. 🌱 The 3 Leaf Theory explains that a ryegrass tiller will only support 3 live leaves at a time.
