🌱 Reseeding for Success 🌱 Investing time and effort into reseeding is key to setting up grassland fields for long-term productivity and success. When it comes to reseeding, choosing the right product and planning carefully are essential. Production goals need to be considered and the specifics of the field so that the best species, varieties, and mixtures can be selected for the grassland area. 🌱✨ 🔍 For information on grass, clover, and herb species, check out our Grassland Management Guide. For the latest on mixture products, explore our 2024 Agriculture Product Guide. Both of which can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eChsFHFq Check out our reseeding steps below and discover why taking the time to reseed is always worth it! #ReseedingSteps #ReseedingForSuccess #PlanEstablishDevelop #GrasslandManagement #SustainableFarming #Agriculture #GrowYourFutureWithGrass #UKGrassExperts #RootedInTheUK #UKGrassBreeders

🌱 Understanding Grass Field Indexing 🌱 Just as livestock can be body condition scored, so too can pastures. Our field indexing system ranges from 1 to 5, with 5 being a highly productive sward of primarily sown species, and 1 being a field that is weedy, has low biomass production, and requires urgent improvement. We have put together a series of videos demonstrating how to apply our field indexing system to monitor pastures. This will help with optimising reseeding programmes and make profit from good grass. The first step is to complete a visual assessment of the fields. Consider factors such as sward density, weed content, patchiness, and preferential grazing of some areas, as well as any measurement of productivity. Watch the first video in our series, which showcases an example of a field classified as an INDEX 1. Learn what makes a field INDEX 1 and the actions needed to restore it. To find out more information about Grass Field Indexing take a look at our Grassland Management Guide 💡 https://lnkd.in/eChsFHFq #GrassFieldIndexing #Index1Field #PastureManagement #GrasslandManagement #FieldAssessment #Agriculture #GrowYourFutureWithGrass #UKGrassExperts #RootedInTheUK #UKGrassBreeders
