Today is National Lineworker Appreciation Day. We celebrate all of our nation's lineworkers and honor the life of Henry Miller, a lineworker and the first president of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), who was tragically killed in the line of duty in 1896. Our lineworkers often work around the clock and in dangerous conditions following storms and other extreme weather events to ensure that the customers and the communities they serve have access to safe and reliable electricity. ICYMI: This time last week, we celebrated the grand opening of our National Training Center (NTC) in Sherman County, Oregon. Onshore Training Manager Samuel Akey CSM summed it up perfectly: "This Training Center is a testament to our collective commitment to excellence and our belief in empowering each other through knowledge and skill building.
