How do you collect feedback from users?
(Do you even collect feedback?! Do you brush your teeth every day??) ⁉️
As a product builder, I liken collecting user feedback to brushing your teeth. 🦷
Make it easy and habitual, and you can catch issues as soon as you spot them. Do a really good job, and your users will even thank you!
Timeliness of user feedback collection can really be critical. ⏳
Collect feedback infrequently, or don’t do it at all, and your product will begin to rot. Perhaps there may eventually be some kind individuals who will go out of their way to let you know: something stinks! At that point, however, it may be too late. Poor product hygiene can lead to user churn, loss of revenue, and much more serious issues like total business failure. 💥😨
At our last InnoTalks speaker event hosted by InnoHyve, I decided to run a quick experiment:
Would event attendees be more likely to share their immediate thoughts (pseudo)-anonymously if we just dropped a whiteboard into the middle of the venue? 🧐
Compared to other methods we use, such as collecting feedback via post-event email & in-event QR codes, some attendees like Keren Zohar really resonated with this idea!
Another attendee pointed out that the venue was really cold 🥶
whoops! Thanks to that feedback, checking the ventilation system has been added to our event preparation list!
At InnoHyve, we believe that regularly listening to users is as important as brushing your teeth every day. In the long run, the small habits matter.
