Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints and drawings, take / read measurements for layout and procedures.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for weld.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not comprise safety.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points for guides
  • Use precision measuring instruments
  • Operate hand tools and other shop equipment such as grinders, positioners, turn-rolls, etc.
  • Weld multiple materials utilizing numerous weld processes
  • Perform material handling functions using fork trucks, overhead cranes, etc
  • Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machines and work area. Communicate with co-workers and team leaders
  • Iron Workers / Connectors - Connecting structural steel components.
  • Ability to operate telehandlers and aerial work platforms.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a welder for a minimum of (2) years.
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Possible travel.
