Responsibilities

The Vice President - People Business Partner will facilitate and shape this change through their support of the Talent strategy for Moody's Technology groups globally. This individual will serve as a partner and coach to managers and employees on People strategy and solutions for complex tech organizations, translating business requirements into People services, programs and initiatives. This role will demonstrate the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to manage and drive projects across the entity; responsibilities include:

The Vice President - People Business Partner will facilitate and shape this change through their support of the Talent strategy for Moody's Technology groups globally. This individual will serve as a partner and coach to managers and employees on People strategy and solutions for complex tech organizations, translating business requirements into People services, programs and initiatives. This role will demonstrate the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to manage and drive projects across the entity; responsibilities include:
- Business Advisor: Builds relationships with global senior managers to understand business priorities in order to align People strategies to business objectives and key results (OKR's) for the Technology groups in Moody's Investor Services and Shared Services. Partner closely across subject matter experts, cross-functional teams and people services & solutions team to deliver advice and counsel to leaders, makes recommendations, and is a trusted advisor to senior managers on full range of People business issues.
- Contributes to the creation of programs that drive higher levels of employee performance and engagement.
- Organizational Development & Design: Helps identify, facilitates, and supports the implementation of change management and organizational design and development initiatives. Partners with the People Business Partner Team, Leadership & Centers of Expertise to execute on solutions to business challenges.
- Talent Management: In partnership with the Centers of Expertise and the People BP team, advises management to implement a framework for assessing and developing talent. Supports talent assessment processes including succession planning, executive assessments, high potential identification and development, and building management bench strength.
- Staffing and Selection: Works with Talent Attraction team on staffing needs globally. Participates in recruitment for key positions.
- Rewards and Recognition: Supports senior management, compensation and finance in the annual salary plan and incentive compensation processes.
- Workforce Analytics: Reviews internal and external metrics to draw hypotheses and conclusions that help the business make more informed decisions about its workforce. Uses metrics to make recommendations to address particular issues.
- Project Management: Supports global projects and partners with various People functions to resource project teams as directed. Participates in cross-functional and technical projects as appropriate.
- Risk Management: Proactively mitigates risk by working with management, Legal, Compliance and Employee Relations (ER) to ensure employment law-related risks are managed appropriately. Maintains a positive, productive and cohesive work environment by dealing with workplace conduct, conflict resolution, counselling, and employee engagement.
- Bachelor's Degree. Advanced degree and/or certification in HR specialties.
- Minimum of 8 years as an HR generalist with additional experience in at least one other HR function.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to incorporate metrics and analysis into delivery.
- Outstanding verbal and communication skills, with poise and confidence to interact with all levels of management and ability to build trusted relationships with senior managers in order to influence.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage high volumes of work and navigate through change.
- Strong team player operates with humility, kindness, curiosity, collaboration, open mindedness.
- Excellent Excel skills to analyze data and tell numerical stories.
- Executive level PowerPoint skills
- Willingness to travel: Travel to Charlotte or NY would be at minimum once a quarter, preferably once a month
