Senior Medical Editor [Pharma Advertising]

Title: SENIOR EDITOR

NYC-hybrid schedule

The Senior Editor is responsible for executing core editorial functions in a pharma agency environment and has a high degree of familiarity with a wide range of product categories and therapeutic classes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Displays a high level of proficiency in copyediting, fact-checking, and adhering to AMA/brand style across Consumer and HCP Print and Digital deliverables.
• Responsible for interacting with Project Managers, Creatives and Account members for efficient clarification and resolution of queries.
• Creates Style Guides for assigned accounts.
• Ensures that submissions conform to FDA guidelines to avoid regulatory action.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be extremely detail-oriented and possess a high level of proficiency in grammar skills.
• Proficiency with FDA compliance mandates for pharma promotions.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and current AMA guidelines.
• High level of digital competency and computer-related technologies and applications; ProofHQ electronic routing experience a plus.
• Familiarity with a variety of product categories and therapeutic classes, with specific experience in oncology and diabetes.
• Thorough understanding of agency process and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and assignments in a day.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills in a primarily remote environment.
• Prior launch experience required.

Experience

2+ years of editorial experience as a Senior Editor in a pharma agency environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
