Role Overview
As the Vice President of Agricultural Finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with brokers and originators, and overseeing the secondary market real estate process from inception to completion. This position requires daily interaction with secondary market investors and our loan servicer, alongside a proactive business development approach to support originators in achieving successful loan closings.
Responsibilities
Consult with originators and brokers to strategize on current and potential loan opportunities.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders involved in loan transactions.
Promote credit and loan services through consultative selling approaches.
Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the loan process, ensuring exceptional responsiveness and support for brokers/originators.
Conduct weekly reviews of loan files to ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal quality control standards.
Assist clients post-transaction by identifying and addressing additional financial needs.
Handle delinquent accounts and coordinate with collectors when necessary.
Participate in training programs as required by management to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; advanced education preferred.
Eight to ten years of relevant banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit evaluation, and collateral assessment.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with banking software and CRM systems is advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
Commitment to maintaining high-quality loan portfolios and minimizing delinquency.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel occasionally as needed.
