Position
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join the leadership team at Knife River. This role will involve developing and overseeing cross-functional departments encompassing financial planning, investor relations, and strategic initiatives. You will play a crucial role in presenting and communicating with internal teams, investors, and the board of directors, shaping the future trajectory of Knife River.

Position

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Exceptional professionalism with a strong focus on confidentiality
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and critical thinking, with advanced Excel skills
- 7+ years of experience in a senior financial or accounting role, ideally as a controller
- Knowledge of the construction materials industry is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Lead the financial planning process to align forecasts and budgets with strategic goals, leveraging historical data, economic trends, and market analysis
- Provide financial, operational, and market insights to executive and regional management, identifying areas for enhancement and growth
- Develop and execute strategies to attract and retain investors and analysts, while nurturing existing stakeholder relationships
- Communicate regularly with shareholders, potential investors, and financial analysts, ensuring transparency through updates, financial results, and strategic initiatives
- Present proposals and analyses to executive management and the board of directors
- Support the evaluation of acquisition targets, conducting market analysis and assessing performance metrics
