🦅 Did you know that in 1961, the bald eagle, America's National Bird, was on the brink of extinction in the lower 48 states? With only around 400 nesting pairs documented, these majestic birds faced a critical threat. But today, the story is different. The bald eagle population has soared to over 316,000, with more than 71,000 pairs occupying nests! The remarkable recovery of bald eagles owes its success to a strategic blend of factors. Among them, responsible conservation efforts and habitat protection play a pivotal role. At Verdantas, our Natural Resources and Environmental Planning team has been hard at work safely relocating eagle nests to support these efforts.
