*VOLUNTEER* Founding Board Member

We need community watch groups without all the racist, white supremacist undertones and the complicity in systemic oppression. Riverwest Antiracist Watch & Education is launching to attempt such an endeavor.

We're passionately and patiently recruiting the Founding Board Members who will help see this project into its infancy! If you live in the Riverwest neighborhood in Milwaukee and have strong ties to antiracism, mutual aid, or community leadership, please consider getting involved!

Responsibilities

Founding Board Members will play a fundamental role in developing and implementing the initial vision and strategy for RAWE. In the beginning we will likely have 2 Board meetings per month. Each board member will be responsible in helping complete tasks, recruit new members and board members, and otherwise boost and engage Riverwesters about our work. The initial time commitment will likely be no more than 10 hours per month.

Qualifications

Experience with nonprofit work, community leadership, antiracism work, etc. are highly desired. People who sit at the intersections of justice and systems of oppression are highly encouraged to apply.
