driving the growth and success of the company by expanding our reach and developing strategic relationships across various industries in need of Viking Client Services' payment processing services. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance key aspects of the sales cycle, meeting or exceeding sales targets, and understanding the specific needs of managed risk merchants to assist them in maintaining compliance goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to create and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Sales Cycle Optimization: Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales process from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Prospecting: Identify and target new business opportunities, both within existing client accounts and through market research or cold calling.
  • Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive database of prospects, existing clients, activities, appointments, sales opportunities, follow-ups, networking, and other relevant information.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and prospects to enhance client loyalty and drive long-term business relationships.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and quotas by closing deals and expanding the customer base.
  • Compliance Assistance: Develop a deep understanding of the unique compliance needs of managed risk merchants and provide guidance and solutions to help them maintain their compliance goals.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to make data-driven decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts for senior management.
  • Needs Assessment: Gather information to analyze the client's needs and problems effectively. Utilize this understanding to recommend appropriate payment solution alternatives that align with the client's specific requirements and business objectives.
  • Marketing Support: Actively participate in the planning and execution of marketing activities. Develop compelling diagrams, quotes, proposals, references, and other marketing tools to effectively communicate the value of our payment solutions to prospects and clients.
  • Proposal & Contract Creation: Work directly with the Executive Assistant to skillfully create proposals tailored to meet both expressed and perceived client needs, offering comprehensive and beneficial payment solutions.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the President.
  • Stress Management: Manage job-related stress and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Travel Flexibility: Travel as needed for job-related purposes.


Qualifications:


Education: A bachelor's degree in business management, sales/marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


Experience: A minimum of 2 years of successful sales and business development experience, demonstrating the ability to drive profitability and generate revenue within the payments industry. Managed risk merchant experience is preferred.
