Short Description
The Vice President is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s comprehensive safety programs, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization. This executive will lead initiatives to minimize risks, conduct safety training, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

The Vice President is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s comprehensive safety programs, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization. This executive will lead initiatives to minimize risks, conduct safety training, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Responsibilities
Safety Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures across the organization.
- Lead safety initiatives, fostering a company culture that incorporates Safety as a foundational pillar.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate safety into business operations.
- Design and oversee safety training programs for contractors and customers, while providing customer-facing training as part of our solution selling.
- Explore partnerships with industry associations or certification bodies to enhance training offerings.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, provincial, and federal safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry peers, and safety experts.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote safety training services.
- Collect safety performance metrics and analyze trends.
- Prepare reports for senior management and the board.
- Identify additional revenue opportunities related to safety:
- Safety equipment rentals: Offer safety gear as part of equipment rentals.
- Certification programs: Develop safety certifications for clients’ employees.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in safety management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Industrial Safety experience preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful safety programs in a similar industry.
- Being a network of branches throughout the United States and Canada, travel is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional safety certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Experience with safety training program development and delivery.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement strategic solutions.
- Willingness to travel as needed to various company locations and sites.
