Vice President, Business Development

Position Overview:

We are seeking an initiative-taking, experienced, impactful Vice President of Business Development to usher the exponential growth of our clients company. The incumbent will be responsible for driving growth and success through strategic partnerships, client acquisition, and revenue generation, producing outsized results within the private industry and government sector. This is a key leadership role that will report directly to the CEO, playing a critical role in shaping the future of our client's organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and revenue for the company.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target industries and organizations.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact to closing, including proposal development and contract negotiation.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and initiatives to support business development efforts.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities and progress to the CEO and senior leadership team.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape to inform business development strategies and tactics.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the talent management or consulting industry.
  • Proven history of driving revenue growth and developing successful business partnerships.
  • Strong network and relationships within the talent management industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and manage a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
