Job Duties: Vice President, Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Develop, enhance, support and maintain the Firm’s software solutions in support of its global businesses. Design and implement high-quality, scalable and thoughtful technology solutions leveraging both internal and open-source services. Own requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration and regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment. Work with internal teams to develop solution designs. Identify new external technologies that can be used to transform our financial businesses and internal platforms in innovative and disruptive ways. Work in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to meet internal and regulatory requirements. Design, implement and maintain robust testing suites to enable safe, complete, and scalable solutions across our business lines. Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or a related software engineering role. Prior experience must include five (5) years of experience with: full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support; relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Sybase or Oracle; micro-services architecture design and development including REST, Java, Spring, or other back-end technologies; database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB; salesforce integration patterns, including REST and SOAP APIs; designing and developing Lightning Web Components; salesforce access and sharing models, including Apex sharing; and Apex code, writing Apex triggers, Apex classes, developing Visual Force pages, Visual Force controllers, and workflows/approval rules using custom code.
