Beacon Technologies is looking for a Vendor Relations Manager who can help our client review tools being used within their operations teams and work with vendors to customize and optimize these tools. This project is 12+ months in duration and fully remote from any of the listed states above.

Our client is seeking a Vendor Relations Manager (VRM) to oversee workforce tooling, focusing on optimizing our suite of essential tools through project management, organization, vendor management, and contract negotiations. This role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to align tool functionalities with workforce needs and ensuring smooth operations across critical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
This role is expected to last 12+ months, aimed at optimizing tool workflows to allow existing VRM resources to focus on strategic initiatives and reduce ticket backlogs. The VRM will receive support from two IT Ops managers to streamline onboarding and ticket assignment processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize feature adjustments and enhancements across multiple tools based on workforce requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to understand project objectives and define clear paths to implementation.
- Lead negotiations with vendors to optimize pricing, licenses, and features during contract renewals.
- Collaborate with IT Operations managers to assign and manage tickets efficiently across designated tools.
- Maintain familiarity with core tools including Zendesk, Atlassian (Jira, Statuspage, Opsgenie, Trello), Slack, and Google, supporting the existing VRM in addressing ticket requests.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in a technical or IT environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with tools such as Zendesk, Atlassian suite, Slack, and Google, or a quick learner in this regard.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
