Test Manager

About the Team: We are looking for a new colleague to join our Engineering Department at our Lafayette, IN location. The Test Manager will be working with cutting-edge technologies that will be pivotal in pushing autonomous driving forward within the Commercial Vehicle division, with focus on our steering systems product line. We are looking for a passionate individual to coordinate the validation programs within an R&D lab and lead communication between our customers, product development and validation teams.

What you can look forward to as a Test Manager:

• Plan and track test content within commercial steering projects (both autonomous and conventional)
• Responsible for testing-related engineering activities within the sub-project testing
• Represent the project to stakeholders (test domains, customer, quality and parent project)
• Requirement based development of test and validation plans
• Ensure sub-project engineering deliverables are delivered in time, cost and quality according to the sub-project milestones
• Contact person for internal and external customers regarding test and validation topics
• Recommend maturity level and allowed usage of products based on test results
• Document, interpret and summarize test results
• Plan of test infrastructure incl. test stands, measurement equipment, actuators or fixtures
• Responsible for QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) for all testing activities – both vehicle and lab test

Your profile as a Test Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Master's degree preferred
• A minimum of 7 years of automotive engineering experience (testing experience preferred)
• Knowledge of ISO26262, ASPICE and “V” Cycle development approach
• Knowledge in requirements and test mgmt. systems – PTC/DOORS/other
• Experience gathering customer requirements in project management
