The Technical Director will oversee all technical aspects of West-Mont’s programs, including Travel, Intramural, Camps, and Tournaments. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing a club-wide game model, leading a staff of directors and coaches, and enhancing the level of play of and opportunities for West-Mont players.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership
Design and implement a club-wide game model and curriculum
Work with directors to develop appropriate structure, schedule, and competition plan for all programs:
Travel: 50+ teams
Intramural: 1,200+ players per season
Camps & Training Programs: 500+ players per year
Men’s & Women’s Teams: EDP U23 and WPSL
Supplemental Programs: Tournaments, Summer Select, HS Summer League, etc.
Communicate proactively and effectively with program staff and participants
Oversee all supplemental programming offered to Travel players, including video analysis, college recruiting support, supplemental training programs, player evaluations, etc.
Lead the technical aspects of annual Travel tryouts
Serve as delegate to all necessary leagues
Formulate, evaluate, and update technical policies and procedures
Observe at least one game per Travel team per year
Attend periodic Intramural practices and games and engage with each camp
Spend at least three nights/week on the fields (during season)
Remain updated on national trends in player development and competition
Talent Development
Lead, evaluate, and mentor professional staff of directors and coaches
Recruit Travel Directors and professional coaches and place appropriately
Onboard all new technical hires
Formally evaluate each professional coach at least twice per year
Plan and facilitate in-house coaching education
Lead weekly Travel Director meetings
Host quarterly professional coach meetings
Administrative Duties
Provide weekly technical report to Executive Director
Provide monthly technical report to Board of Directors
Participate in all club-wide events and meetings
Observe and enforce West-Mont policies and procedures
Adhere to regular in-person office hours (at least 3 days/week, 5 hours/day)
Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Executive Director and Board of Directors
Use discretion to report any warranted issues to Executive Director
Attend all club-wide events and BOD meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant technical leadership experience
Exceptional organizational, communication (written and verbal), and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Business and ability to learn new software quickly
US Soccer or UEFA A License preferred
US Soccer DOC License preferred
Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred
Valid driver’s license and personal transportation
Legal authorization to work in the United States
