Excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager or Director to join an established world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of commercial grade wallcovering and wall protection products.
As part of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the overall strategy, direction and execution of technical initiatives across all business units.
In the role of Technical Director, your initiatives will be to:
-Drive R&D and Product Development Strategies that ensure our company’s position as an innovation leader within the industry
-Develop and conduct process improvement strategies related to manufacturing
Provide leadership and manage all aspects of product quality (proactive and reactive/complaint resolution)
-Provide technical assistance to our sales and customer service team, as well as resources for the contractors that install our products
-Oversee and document all aspects of product compliance and regulatory requirements and testing. Ensure that all certificates are current and easily accessible.
-Manage BOM’s and ensure that product and engineering changes are processed correctly in the system
-Support operations and procurement to drive Lean and continuous improvement
-Liaise with customers, sales, and marketing to establish and maintain product and technical roadmaps
The successful candidate will:
-Have experience with printing, inks, coatings, lamination, plastics, polymers and vinyl
-Understand customer needs and be able to turn requirements into innovative strategic solutions
-Be a self-starter with excellent leadership skills
-Be practical, hands-on with a “can do” attitude
-Be willing to learn new industries and become a subject expert through seeking out resources and working with vendors, sales and installation contractors
-Be extremely organized and able to document data and processes
-Provide leadership and manage your direct staff and the entire company
