Interns will attain a rewarding learning experience by interning for a large sports/entertainment company. They will become an expert in editing video reels and gain a better understanding on what Television Networks look for in Broadcasters. They will make connections with industry leaders and obtain exposure to the strategies behind business development and marketing in sports.
Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.
Duties:
Report to the Director, Broadcasting
Create and update broadcasting client video reels and bios
Research and scout for potential new broadcasting clients
Research potential companies that might have broadcasting or marketing opportunities for current client roster
Maintain and update client and network databases
Perform various departmental support tasks, such as: writing client bios, preparing client submission packets, special projects and tasks that are both short and long-term in nature, filing, scheduling calls, etc
Assist as necessary with the maintenance of client relationships.
Review and prepare invoicing instructions.
Prepare expense reports for agent travel.
Administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
College Degree currently in progress (junior, senior, or graduate student)
Communications, Broadcasting or Business student preferred
Very familiar with sports and sports media
Proficient with Final Cut Pro, iMovie or similar video editing program; adept at editing video
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Efficient on Twitter and other social networking sites
Ability to multi-task and handle working in a fast-paced environment
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint and Internet research
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to function in a highly confidential workplace
Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week
Must be able to receive college credit in lieu of financial compensation
