Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Stores Associate in Gurdon, Arkansas. Our facility manufactures lumber and plywood. This position will be responsible for managing the facility’s maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) inventory. If you desire to work in an inventory role, and have strong communication and organizational skills, this might be the job for you!

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and maintain inventory records for parts, supplies, tools, materials, and equipment for the mill
  • Manage and own the overall Spare Parts supply operations, including receiving and managing MRO parts, storeroom inventory, and supplies
  • Keep the storeroom clean and organized through shelf/bin and parts identification with corresponding database accuracy
  • Receive, stock, pick, cycle-count, issue, locate, and deliver materials
  • Ensure compliance to all safety, environmental, and store policies and procedures
  • Contribute to a quality work environment by maintaining respectful relationships with all mill customers, stores employees, and suppliers
  • Work productively and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Perform physical tasks for extended periods of time - sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders/stairs, working at heights, and able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Be willing to work overtime as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel for data entry and document creationExperience operating material handling equipment such as a pallet jack or forklift

What Will Put You Ahead

One (1) year or more of experience in a maintenance or inventory management roleKnowledge of inventory systems for tasks such as inventory queries, issue transactions, shipping and receiving transactions, storeroom replenishment, etc.
