The Sr. Director, Sales will meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives by driving sales strategy and sales execution for assigned vertical, while proactively anticipating trends in customer growth and satisfaction. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading, supporting, and driving the execution and performance of Pro sales and services pipeline within Stores.

The Senior Director, Sales accomplishes these responsibilities through effective management and development of a team of experienced Directors and Managers. This team executes across multiple cross functional work teams to deliver strategic and functional initiatives on time and meet expected financial and operational benefits defined by the strategy. This leader is the primary contact of Division President representing all aspects of Pro sales & services pipeline.

Essential Functions:

  • Directs regional leadership and has primary responsibility for the establishment and execution of plans to optimize sales, service, and customer satisfaction. With an emphasis on meeting goals relating to pro sales, services pipeline, expenses.
  • Positively impacts the performance of sales team members by implementing and managing field support tools, including training programs, productivity initiatives, account and territory planning methodologies, and customer communication tools.
  • Proactively inspects sales activity and effort among sales associates managed, ensuring that the quality and quantity of sales effort meet company expectations.
  • Identifies deficiencies in skills among sales associates managed and works to improve individuals’ capabilities through coaching, development, and training.
  • Works with strategic accounts to ensure market-level strategic and business objectives are met by the sales team.
  • Discusses geographical performance with Regional Director's, RVPs, and Division Presidents and builds alignment around business performance action plans.
  • Works with field leadership and the Division Presidents and SSC Vice President to ensure that the Pro and Installed Sales are executed within prescribed guidelines throughout the Lowe's enterprise.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key customer accounts in conjunction with sales personnel managed. Provides a management-level point of contact for key customers. Builds and maintains strong customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Related Business Field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 plus years’ experience leading sales professionals to deliver business results.

Preferences:

  • 5-7 years’ experience incorporating e-commerce into sales strategy; experience identifying and building plans in response to emerging customer trends; experience working in home improvement retail; business to business experience.
