Role Overview
As a Senior SQL Data Analyst Consultant, you will play a crucial role in scoping, analyzing, and delivering analytics-oriented projects. Your expertise in healthcare reimbursement methodologies (such as APC, DRG, RBRVS) and experience with large medical claims datasets will be essential. You will work both independently and collaboratively in a matrixed team environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support the Normalized Pricing product, including performing releases and updates.
Collaborate across teams to synchronize algorithms across platforms.
Provide customer support, including product implementation, consultation, and issue resolution.
Process client claims using SQL applications, analyzing results for accuracy and insights.
Develop spreadsheet models and assist clients in understanding analysis results.
Manage data processing according to project specifications, communicating findings through reports and presentations.
Contribute to product enhancements and revenue growth opportunities.
Support clients during implementation and occasionally work nights and weekends for client support and production releases.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of solid SQL experience, preferably in T-SQL and MS SQL Server environments.
3+ years of experience analyzing healthcare data, with knowledge of claim structures and reimbursement methodologies.
Familiarity with CMS Prospective Payment frameworks (DRG, APC, RBRVS, Per Diem, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAS and proficiency in Excel (including VBA, macros, pivot tables).
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to senior leadership.
Excellent data quality assessment and analysis skills, identifying trends and patterns within large datasets.
Familiarity with Python, Apache Spark, and Cloud Computing is a plus.
