Location: Remote / Pasadena, CA

The Social Impact Firm is a project management firm dedicated to social impact, sustainability, DEI, and nonprofit startup support. With decades of experience, we help entrepreneurs and organizations achieve their missions through effective project conceptualization, oversight, and execution. Our services include corporate social responsibility initiatives and engaging public school students in the Social Impact Students Initiative to create projects with a positive societal impact.

Position Overview:

We seek a dynamic and creative Social Media Marketing and Creative Intern to join our team. This intern will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence, creating engaging content, and supporting our marketing initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about social impact and sustainability to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies across various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn)
• Create engaging and visually appealing content, including graphics, videos, and written posts
• Schedule and manage social media posts using tools like Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or Buffer
• Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement, and opportunities for interaction
• Help grow and engage our online community by responding to comments and messages
• Outreach campaigns on social media
• Collaborate with the team to develop and execute campaigns and promotions
• Conduct research on social media trends, best practices, and competitive analysis
• Assist with other marketing and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university with a focus on marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) or Canva
• Basic video editing skills are a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for social impact, sustainability, and making a difference
• Self-starter takes the initiative and finishes tasks on time with excellence and attention to detail
