The Service Technician will work in cooperation with the Service Manager, DPG Field Supervisors, and other Technicians to ensure the delivery of a quality product that meets the standards of Dulles Plumbing, Heating, & Air, Inc., and the International Plumbing Code Council, or the authority having local jurisdiction. This position entails performing repairs, rework, and/or new construction duties either working independently or with other field personnel.
This position carries out responsibilities in accordance with DPG’s policies and procedures as well as applicable laws, and in accordance with recognized procedures and techniques common to the plumbing and HVAC trades.
Essential responsibilities and duties:
Help with Installation a variety of systems, such as refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation.
Prepare cost estimates.
Assist with repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment, and plumbing systems.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and identify preventative maintenance on equipment.
Refrigeration troubleshooting and repairs.
Check heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment for proper operating conditions.
Perform periodic preventive maintenance such as replacing belts, lubricating motors, and checking refrigerant pressures.
Manages air filter changes on a regular basis.
Help perform all levels of maintenance repairs on PLBG & HVAC equipment.
Procure repair parts for defective equipment and systems (PLBG & HVAC)
Respond to emergency situations involving PLBG & HVAC equipment.
Help install and repair mechanical system electrical devices including pumps, motors, contactors, and other electrical components.
Completes all tasks to high standard of quality and appearance. Performs tasks with the highest standards of effort, efficiency, and organization.
Small projects (sink connections, dishwasher installs, other HVAC systems etc.)
Safety Meetings at projects (toolbox talks)
Maintain a safe work environment.
Attend meetings associated with personnel and assigned projects.
Ensure vehicle is stocked and properly organized for the next day’s production.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Five years’ experience preferred.

Physical requirements:
Ability to maintain balance.
Frequent moderate lifting, repetitive motion, bending, walking, climbing ladders, and working from heights.
Occasional heavy lifting, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, precipitation, confined spaces, loud conditions, heights, and other environments.
