Senior Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's sensitive information and maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure.

MUST BE LOCAL TO NYC. THIS POSITION REQUIRES 4-DAY ONSITE PER WEEK IN DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Security: Design, implement, and maintain robust security measures for the enterprise infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical assets.

• Vulnerability Management: Identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications. Develop and implement strategies to remediate and mitigate potential security risks.

• Security Monitoring: Implement and manage security monitoring tools to detect and respond to security incidents. Analyze security logs and alerts to identify and investigate potential security threats.

• Deployment Planning: Collaborate with various departments to plan and execute the deployment of security measures and updates. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems while minimizing disruptions.

• Best Practices Implementation: Deploy and enforce security best practices for information protection, including but not limited to Rapid7, SentinelOne, WSUS, GPO, and other relevant security technologies.

• Platform Security: Implement and manage security measures for platforms such as Windows, Azure, Active Directory, and VMware. Ensure that these platforms adhere to industry security standards.

• Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans. Actively participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents. Provide timely and accurate reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Information Security Engineer or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in using security tools such as Rapid7, SentinelOne, WSUS, etc.
• Experience with Windows, Azure, Active Directory, and VMware.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and security architecture.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
