Job Overview Summary-Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Summary of Position:
Coordinate all Quality activities within the facility
with direction from the Quality Supervisor/Process
Engineer. Assists in setting up standards of
performance, measures progress, sets up and
controls work flow and determines personnel needs
based on production schedules and with the
assistance of the Quality Supervisor and/or Quality
Management.
Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Hold daily start-up meeting to cover company announcements, safety issues, quality issue/concerns, job assignments, training and other issues.
Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding team members and all other issues as directed by management.
Maintain necessary documentation reports as needed. 3/5 panels, quality concerns, ASRS checklist and other reports as requested.
Audit team members’ skill records and ensure team members are being trained to and follow Standard Path Of Inspection.
Fill in when a Supervisor or Team Leader is out of work.
Provides direction, development and leadership to floor associates.
Review production schedules to make decisions concerning staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments
Confer with Team Leaders to coordinate operation of quality and activities within departments.
Maintain environmental, health and safety programs.
Monitor assembly operations and able to recognize defective parts
Perform layered audit and quality checks
Ensure 5-S is adhered to properly
Technical/ Computer Skills:
3 years’ experience preferred working in automotive manufacturing environment related to seating as a Team Lead.
Assembly skills and knowledge within the seating industry
Basic computer office skills (PowerPoint/ Excel)
Leadership skills and experience
Broad knowledge of OSHA and workplace health and safety programs
Broad knowledge of quality systems including -16949, ISO and QS; continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5-S, lean manufacturing, KANBAN, TPS.
Must be able to spot visual defects and assist in making quality decisions

Heavy walking and standing throughout the shift

Required to use close vision, peripheral vision, and focus and see colors as required to read equipment and material labels, color-coded inventory, computer terminal screens, etc.
May be required to wear safety Personal Protective Equipment for eyes, face, head, feet, hearing, hands and arms
Be willing to travel for training if required
