Senior Project Developer

Role: Community Solar Project Developer (Maryland market experience required)

Location: Remote - EST

Compensation: $150k + 30-40% annual bonus

Company

Our client is a key developer in the Eastern market, with a pipeline of 2 GW across 50 Projects. They are looking to bring on a senior project development manager with significant market experience in Virginia, PA or TX to collaborate on the development of DG to 100MW utility-scale solar & storage projects.

Role

The Community Solar Project Developer will manage the development pipeline, working across all activities required to take a project from site control to NTP. The ideal candidate will come in and hit the ground running, continuing to advance their project development expertise with a well-established and strategically focused company in an emerging solar market.

Responsibilities

· Site/land identification, approvals, permitting, interconnection, financial modelling, through to NTP.

· Originate Community Solar development opportunities.

. Collaborate with land, policy, design, and finance teams to successfully manage the overall project cycle.

· Lead negotiations and deal structuring.

· Conduct market and regulatory research.

Skills/ Experience

. 3-5 years developing renewable energy projects ideally within Maryland/PJM. (MD, VA, PA, TX preferred).

. Significant experience in renewable energy development, within Community/ Distributed Solar and/ or Storage

. Expertise in developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

. Previous experience taking projects to NTP stage.

· A willingness to travel is required.
