Develop, collaborate, and manage technical plans that best support artist and venue needs for all events.
Source, select, and manage direct A/V vendors, equipment, and technical personnel providers.
Create and manage all aspects of production to best support event and attendee experience.
Maintain point of communication between all vendors, crew, and support staff.
Provide recommendations for managing front and backstage personnel to ensure presenters are prepared for stage and provided with needed support, accommodations, and hospitality.
Create ongoing and detailed production schedule.
Work with clients and private event teams to ensure all technical challenges are solved and addressed in regard to scenic elements, collateral, video/presentation content, etc.
Responsible for solving any production issues that may arise at any given point in the show timeline.
Provide adequate tech coverage for daily operations.
Oversee the load in and load out of the show from artists, vendors and all that apply. In addition to managing production crew by interfacing and making production arrangements with local labor vendors, creating production crew schedules.
Create monthly schedules for tech staff· May be responsible for show settlement after the show has concluded. Makes sure that talent is paid accordingly with artist accounting procedures. The Production Manager will also close out the show and submit all pertinent information to accounting.
Collaborate with Marketing & Sales teams to determine event-specific needs.
Delegate staff to fulfill various event technical requirements.
Take directions from operation managers regarding all venue and repair needs.
Maintain strong relationships with all local/regional entertainment agencies.
Produce on-stage pre-game activation and events.
Advance national acts & coordinating w/ all internal teams.
Oversight/management of production/concert operations - Manage entertainment and production to budget.
Skills
Technical/Production Skills - Strong background in audio - live audio mixing, bands, mixing for television broadcasts, events, etc.
Strong background in video: - Video switching (TD) - Camera experience - Media players - Maintaining media.
Lighting skills - familiar with lighting systems such as Grand MA, Hog, Chauvet, etc.
Fluent with common software & operating systems.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization and clients.
Strong project management background and ability to manage complex timelines.
Proficiency in software such as: Vector works or AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Design Suite etc.
Supervisory Responsibility
Manage technical staff.
Education & Experience
A high school diploma is required and a bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
4-6 years of experience in technical event production.
Experience working in music industry preferred.
