Thanks to its onsite solar energy farm – the largest in California at 42,577 square feet – our Fairfield, CA plant has been recognized as a leader in sustainable engineering. The solar energy farm reduces our carbon footprint and helps in achieving our specific goals of reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 55% and improving energy efficiency 30% by 2030, as mapped out in our 2030 Sustainability Goals. We’re honored to be included in Ceres’ list of exemplary Climate Transition Action Plans. Vitas Carosella at Forbes perfectly highlighted our collaboration with Arsenal F.C and Planet League for the Green Gooners Cup—the biggest ever club fan engagement campaign in professional soccer.     This three-week fan tournament encouraged Arsenal fans, known as Gooners, to make small, sustainable choices that positively impact our planet. Fans participated in over 40 actions, such as filling reusable water bottles, eating vegetarian meals, and opting for aluminum products, collectively scoring over 56,000 “green goals!”       We are incredibly proud of everything participants achieved in such a short period and are excited to continue meeting sports fans where they are in their sustainability journeys. Canned beverages are booming in popularity, from cocktails to energy drinks to sparkling water. But are you familiar with canned milkshakes? Ball India is teaming up with Indian dairy company CavinKare to shake up the dairy sector by introducing milkshakes in aluminum cans. The Ball team in Itupeva learned about international trends, technological launches, and exciting innovations at the FCE Cosmetique trade fair this week. The fair highlighted solutions for generating business and uncovering trends among some of the biggest brands in packaging and cosmetics. Our recyclable aluminum packaging – including aerosols bottles and personal care products – were the perfect recyclable addition to the trade fair. As a global leader, Ball is providing sustainable packaging innovations that reimagine, rethink, rebuild, and replace the current aerosol packaging landscape.
