This position supports the department supervisor in managing extensive projects and initiatives aimed at fulfilling various Risk Adjustment responsibilities.
A Day In The Life
Oversees day-to-day operations and project workflows.
Executes departmental project plans efficiently.
Coordinates communication between supervisor, team members, and stakeholders, ensuring clear expectations and resolving issues to meet deadlines.
Documents, maintains, and reviews medical records and process workflows in electronic formats.
May supervise and coordinate project-related tasks for staff.
Takes initiative in administrative duties and problem-solving, maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, and effectively communicating operational updates.
Coordinates and facilitates training for new hires and staff as required.
Acts as a resource for colleagues, offering support and guidance.
Participates in cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert or contributor.
Works independently on assigned tasks and self-directed work.
Collaborates with the supervisor to optimize workflows and efficiencies.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experiences
5+ years of relevant professional experience. Relevant experience includes work, education, transferable skills, and military service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
Ability to manage workflows proactively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management, and planning skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Have
Bachelor's degree.
Background in medical records management is advantageous.
Medical coding and risk adjustment coding certificate.
Previous experience in project coordination.
