RH

Senior Manager, Web Copy

RH Corte Madera, CA

Job Description

RH at its core is about taste, and we believe the idea of scaling taste is large and far reaching.

The RH brand attracts the best designers, artisans, manufacturers and talent in our industry, scaling and rendering their work more valuable across our integrated platform, enabling us to curate the most compelling collection of luxury home furnishings in the world. We are moving the brand beyond curating and selling products to conceptualizing and selling spaces by building an ecosystem of products, places, services and spaces that elevates and establishes the RH brand as a global thought leader, taste and place maker.

At RH we believe deeply that the "right" people are our greatest asset. We value people with high energy, who possess the ability to energize others. People who are smart, creative and have a point of view. People who see the answer in every problem, versus those who see the problem in every answer. People who are driven, determined and won't take "no" for an answer. We value team players, people who are more concerned with what's right, rather than who's right.

RH is seeking a Senior Manager of Web Copy. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of editors managing product copy on all RH websites globally, and collaborating with cross-functional partners involved in our site and digital expression. The ideal candidate possesses the following: a passion for content and copy, superior written and verbal communication skills, a proactive leadership mentality, and flexibility in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Live and breathe Our Vision, Values and Beliefs
  • Become an expert in RH style and brand voice, with deep knowledge of the products, copy attributes, the industry, and competitor content and presentation
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging on all RH sites globally
  • Format, edit, and implement website copy on our web content management system for new products, existing products and other projects, as required, while working under extremely tight daily deadlines
  • Work closely with the Product Copy team to ensure copy is supplied for all web launches globally
  • Manage team calendar and ensure global launch deadlines are met
  • Collaborate closely with partners on the Web Merchant, Merchant, Product Development, Product Copy and Digital Creative teams to maintain existing marketing content and ensure it is presented in the most effective and compelling way
  • Think strategically and analytically about site merchandising and how copy and educational content can support and elevate the presentation of products while serving and empowering the RH customer
  • Manage library of customer-facing reference documents, including Care, Assembly Instructions and Tearsheets
  • Support international expansion efforts, ensuring NA, GB and EU web product copy is localized and reflective of regional assortment
  • Support company-wide initiatives needing close digital partnership, such as CMS migration

Our Requirements

  • 5+ years of web copy experience, preferably in retail, luxury or home furnishings
  • Prior experience managing a team within a deadline-driven production environment
  • Excellent writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills, in additional verbal and written communication
  • Exceptionally focused on details, unwaveringly meticulous, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage multiple projects and tight deadlines simultaneously while paying impeccable attention to detail; logical thinker and creative problem solver
  • Strong knowledge of Mac and Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Experience with/technical proficiency in web content management systems, web page authoring, process and workflow building, and localization of content for other markets
  • Proficient in basic HTML
