Basic Function


The Senior Manager, PMO is a member of the SB Energy Project Management team responsible for developing and executing renewable energy projects. The PMO acts as the support of each individual Project Manager by maintaining and managing the schedule, assigning and following up on tasks, leading internal meetings, and shepherding the project through various approval stages. The PMO is the most cross functional member of the team and will interact with every function within the SB Energy organization.


The PMO is a member of the PMO organization, which is responsible for providing SB Energy leadership with an enterprise view of all projects and provides insights to assist in resource planning, strategic actions, and risk management. The PMO organization is also responsible for developing IT solutions used in managing and reporting on projects.


Responsibilities


  • Support Utility Scale Solar and/or Energy Storage projects from acquisition to operating asset.
  • Manage each of the project master schedules and perform regular project health analysis.
  • Lead the internal team’s scheduled meeting, assign and drive action items.
  • Report on project information to the Project Manager and SB Energy leadership.
  • Develop and maintain project dashboards.
  • Contribute to an enterprise view of all projects.
  • Analyze resource needs and information needed for long term planning.
  • Source and implement IT platforms to manage project tasks, schedule, analysis, and reporting.


Qualifications/Requirements


  • BS in Technical field, preferred Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering disciplines.
  • 8 – 12 years’ experience as member of a project team executing the duties of the PMO.
  • Strong people and technical skills.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the enterprise, able to lead team meetings and facilitate discussion without being the subject matter expert.
  • Experience with large scale solar or similar construction/engineering projects.
  • PMP or equivalent.
  • Expert in P6 and/or MS Project usage.
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) space.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in Excel charting, data analysis, formula and macros usage.


Location: Redwood City, CA (San Francisco Bay Area) is preferred; hybrid in office/remote.


Base Pay: $150,000-170,000


Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, certifications, specific work location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Base pay may vary per location due to differences in the cost of living.


The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual discretionary bonus, full Health & Wellness Benefits package, and other applicable incentive perks as outlined in any formal offer made. The final compensation package will be discussed with the candidate during the final stages of the hiring process.
