We are seeking an exceptional Graphic Design leader to oversee our design direction & execution. In this role you will lead design strategy across the brand as well as creative campaigns & will lead a team of freelance designers to create visually compelling content that aligns with our brand's vision and goals to ensure creative cohesion, innovate on brand campaigns, and scale resources effectively.


Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Team Leadership: Hire, develop, and motivate internal/external freelance designers to produce high-level design work.
  • Design Direction: Develop and execute innovative design strategies that enhance our brand's visual identity across marketing campaigns, digital media, and product packaging.
  • Design Execution: Ensure design is elevated and consistent across all customer touchpoints (even if it means rolling up your sleeves)
  • Visual Quality: Oversee the design process to ensure high standards of visual quality and brand consistency are maintained.
  • Concept to Execution: Manage projects from initial concept through to final execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies to keep the brand at the forefront of design innovation.
  • Retrospective and learnings: Maintain regular post-project reviews to improve and optimize future campaigns.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Inter-Departmental Synergy: Work closely with marketing, product development, and external agencies to ensure cohesive and impactful visual storytelling.
  • Creative Team Collaboration: Work in collaboration with Photo, Video,and Copy to develop campaign strategies and effective timelines.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all design outputs align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in graphic design, typography, and visual concept development.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiar with web design tools.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A strong understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to translate marketing objectives into creative strategies.


Preferences

  • Experience in the apparel or fashion industry.
  • Film photography experience.
  • Understanding of digital advertising and social media trends.
  • Background in working with e-commerce brands.


Skills and Competencies

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with digital and print production processes.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, creative vision, excellent communication, and project management abilities.

Work Environment:

  • This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home or any location with reliable internet access. You will spend extended periods at a computer, so a comfortable and ergonomic workspace is essential.
