TITLE: Senior eCommerce Manager

REPORTS TO: SVP of eCommerce & Brand Marketing

PRIMARY LOCATION: New York, NY (Primarily virtual, but NY Metro area preferred)


JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior eCommerce Manager oversees all aspects of the eCommerce sites for two prominent, premium brands aden + anais and HALO (adenandanais.com and halosleep.com). The ideal candidate has led all aspects of a DTC business and has previously reported to a VP level. Equal parts revenue driver and site operator, the primary responsibilities for this role encompass:

  • Driving the direct-to-consumer (DTC) revenue by leading the development of growth strategies and reactive initiatives
  • Developing and executing promotional campaigns that fulfill both topline revenue and margin requirements
  • Analyzing and identifying ways to improve website performance, conversion rates, and customer experience
  • Spearheading and executing the website development roadmap, including a re-platform from Magento to Shopify
  • Mentoring and developing the Site Merchandiser


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Formulate and implement a holistic growth strategy to elevate the overall customer experience in order to drive online sales and maximize customer acquisition.
  • Regularly analyze website performance, conversion rates, and customer behavior through analytics tools to pinpoint areas for enhancement and execute data-driven optimizations.
  • Manage and optimize the performance of our e-commerce platforms, ensuring optimal functionality, user-friendly navigation, and frictionless transactions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, IT, Operations, and Customer Care, ensuring alignment between e-commerce initiatives and overarching business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the growth team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, performance marketing, email/SMS marketing, and social media efforts to boost traffic, elevate brand visibility, and enhance conversion rates.
  • Establish and oversee the SEO strategies for both sites, utilizing tools such as Ahrefs and AI, in conjunction with agency collaboration.
  • Develop and implement customer-centric strategies, incorporating personalized recommendations, loyalty programs, and targeted promotions to elevate customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including web developer, email service provider, SEO agency, and payment gateways, ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our online platforms.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and e-commerce best practices, proactively incorporating innovative strategies and tactics to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends to identify opportunities and adjust our e-commerce approach accordingly.
  • Oversee inventory levels, product availability, and fulfillment processes, ensuring timely and accurate order processing and delivery. Drive for process improvement where needed.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reports and updates to key stakeholders, spotlighting key performance metrics, sales trends, and recommendations for improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience in leading all aspects of DTC eCommerce site operation, preferably in consumer goods
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functionally.
  • Passionate about data with the ability to translate actionable insights from metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, and conversion rate optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms and software; Magento2 and Shopify experience a plus.
  • Experience working with A/B testing tools and test parameters.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a primary virtual work environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly.
  • Operates with a “win together” mentality.

Salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and incentive plan. The base salary hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate's location, skill level and experience.
