The Senior Manager is a vital part of the chemistry operations team, providing leadership to several manufacturing groups and process development teams. - Implement the most appropriate production technologies and quality assurance techniques for manufacturing products in your area of responsibility
- Develop plans, priorities, and systems to efficiently and effectively utilize all resources (equipment and personnel) in functional area. Ensure that functional area capability is adequate to meet existing and anticipated needs. Meet objectives for inventory due dates
- Plan and implement process improvement activities to increase production efficiency, improve safety, reduce cost of production, and maintain product quality
Skills
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline preferred
Bachelors
Experience
10+ years
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline required
- 10 or more years of experience in the development, scale-up, and manufacturing of small molecule fine chemicals or APIs, including a minimum of 5 years experience in managing a large, diverse staff
- Working knowledge and experience in chemical manufacturing techniques and equipment across various scales
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a technical area within a cross-functional team environment
