Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Level Part-Time Instructional Systems Designer to support a client program. This remote position requires a candidate with a strong background in Training Needs Analysis and analytics, ideally with 5+ years of experience in designing and developing instructional content for various formats, including web-based and instructor-led courses.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) in collaboration with client personnel to identify security competencies, training requirements, goals, and learning objectives.
Apply the ADDIE methodology to assist in the development and update of training content, including eLearning asynchronous courses, virtual instructor-led courses, short format eLearning, instructor-led training, and performance support tools.
Develop detailed course design documents, including content outlines, media treatments, technical specifications, assessment strategies, and instructional materials.
Create and update course storyboards outlining audio, text, and graphic design elements for final course production.
Lead beta tests for products in development, evaluate instructional effectiveness, and update assessments as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
At least eight (8) years of experience in Instructional Systems Design, with a focus on online and instructor-led course development.
Five (5) or more years of experience in Training Needs Analysis supporting federal government contracts.
Strong ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and maintain regular customer interface.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in ISD or Adult Education from an accredited university.
10+ years of experience designing and developing online and instructor-led courses.
Experience leading teams in the creation of various training products, especially in security-related instructional development projects.
