Introducing the Nominate Tab Members are the architects of the Sidebar community, and they have the opportunity to help shape the future of leadership within Sidebar by referring outstanding future members. We’ve found that our best new members come to Sidebar as referrals from our existing members. We’ve also found that members who refer other members are more engaged in the community, and those members who join through referrals are in turn more likely to then refer members in their own network. It’s amazing to see this transfer of energy and shared enthusiasm. To support the continued growth and strength of our community, we’re introducing an updated Nominate tab so it’s even easier for members to nominate the best leaders in their networks. Now, members can go to the Nominate tab and enter the LinkedIn URL or email address of their nominee and a note about why their nominee is a great leader, click Nominate, and then our team will go to work to reach out to the nominee to let them know a Sidebar member has referred them. Members can also see a list of nominations they’ve made and the status of each nomination. When a nominee joins, we’ll close the loop with the nominator and ensure they know their nominee has become a Sidebar member. One of the best parts of nominations is that people who are nominated by a current Sidebar member skip our waitlist and can move directly to booking an interview call with our team. Nothing is as important as the quality of our community, and with member nominations, we have the opportunity to maintain the quality of the community as we grow. Messaging Updates and Improvements Conversations and communication are at the heart of Sidebar. In small groups of peers, members discuss their challenges, work through tricky problems and share their expertise. Much of this is live discussion, but messaging in Affinity Groups and across the Sidebar platform bolster face-to-face communication and ensure our members feel connected even when they’re apart.  We’re introducing a number of improvements to messaging on Sidebar to ensure members can communicate clearly, efficiently and in the ways that work best for their individual preferences. Thread Pinning: Our members engage in lots of different conversations on Sidebar. While all are important, it is critical that those that are most frequently used and most valuable are easily accessible.  To address this need, we’ve launched the ability to pin threads. Now, members can Star conversations they want to be sure to stay on top of. Starring a conversation thread moves it to a separate message section above non-starred messages, ensuring favorite threads stay top of mind. Muting: The Sidebar community is a vibrant platform for communication. But, there are times when it’s important to be able to focus. To ensure members can be as productive as possible, we’ve added the ability to mute conversations on a thread-by-thread basis. This highly requested feature improves productivity, focuses conversations with engaged participants and enables members to tailor their communication experience to their preferences. Editing and Deleting: We’ve all been in situations where we’re moving fast and accidentally send a message with a typo, or to the wrong thread. Now, instead of having to re-ping a message thread with a corrected missive, members can simply edit their original message, or delete it entirely. We’ve made these changes for desktop and for mobile, when members are on the go. Thank you to all of our members who recommended we build each of these features. We’re excited for these new messaging updates, and we hope the improvements make it possible to more easily and seamlessly communicate with each other on Sidebar. #sidebar #community #sidebarsuccess

🛡️Introducing Sidebar Badges 🛡️ We’re rolling out a new feature on Sidebar – Badges. We created Badges to celebrate members for their unique accomplishments, awarding them when members have achieved something outstanding and worthy of being recognized including important milestones, elevated roles in the community and other accomplishments. The first type of Badge that we’re awarding to members is annual badges, starting with the Year 2 Badge. This Badge celebrates members who have completed their first year at Sidebar and embarked on their second year of exponential growth. The Badges members earn are visible across the Sidebar platform, appearing on a member’s page, on video calls, as well as in chats. While chatting, a Badge will appear in the lower left-hand corner of a member’s profile photo, highlighting their achievement to others. When a member is first awarded a Badge, they’ll receive a notification with a special 3-D version of the Badge. Once a Badge has been awarded, members can choose to download them as digital keepsakes, and they can choose to share their accomplishment here on LinkedIn. Over time, we’ll add more Badges to recognize the achievements of our incredible community. We can’t wait to see our members continue to earn and proudly display their accomplishments. #sidebar #community #sidebarsuccess
