About the Role: We are in search of an exceptional Senior Engineering Manager to help spearhead the growth of Lore Machine's engineering team. The candidate must have experience balancing a high-concept creative vision with never-been-done-before technical execution.

Technical Expertise:

• Python & MLOps: 10+ years of experience with Python and 5+ years with MLOps.
• Generative AI Models: High familiarity with txt-to-img, img-to-img, img-to-video, and txt-to-video models.
• Tech Stack Proficiency: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure, Replicate or similar GPU requisitioning-deployment service / infra, (Optional) Postgresql, and (Optional) Next.js.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Demonstrated ability to manage cloud deployments and infrastructure on Azure, enough to collaborate and supervise with DevOps personnel.

Professional Experience:

• Software Development: 10+ years in software development with a focus on scalable WEB applications, with a strong backend and database integration.
• Team Leadership: 5+ years of experience in leading engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring and team growth.
• Multimodal Media Products: Prior experience in developing or managing projects related to multimodal media.

Leadership and Management:

• Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with timely delivery. Familiarity with async production and team tools like Twist and ClickUp.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting and financial management, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across various levels of organization.

Innovation and Vision:

• Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement long-term technology strategies. Familiarity with the entire tech stack and infra to make these decisions.
• Research Integration: Capable of building system features based on the latest research in generative AI and related fields, or in collaborative assistance to team members that do so.
• Industry Awareness: Up-to-date with the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and multimodal media.

Educational Background:

Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a reputable institution.

Additional Skills:

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills involving innovative solutions to complement small team sizes.
• Collaboration: Experience working in a startup environment or similar fast-paced setting, with a focus on team development. (Non negotiable, needs to be a personality fit with Founder / CEO)
