The Senior District Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and guiding the successful sales for a team of Amplify sales professionals. You will propose and execute programs designed to achieve maximum sales volume potential for all products and/or services within the assigned territory. In partnership with the VPs of Sales, Finance, and Operations, the Senior District Manager will set revenue objectives for growth and be responsible for the overall success and health of the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership (80%)

  • Provide leadership to the sales team within the assigned region, including standing in for RVP of Sales as needed
  • Coach and mentor Sales Representatives
  • Conduct forecast and pipeline review meetings with Managers and Reps
  • Ensure lead generation and pipeline growth will sustain revenue targets
  • Provide feedback to Marketing, Program Management, and other supporting departments regarding market trends, market sizing, implementation trends, competition, and any additional information that impacts sales
  • Work with cross-functional development teams to ensure that products are market-driven and meet the state criteria for adoption
  • Lead regularly scheduled internal staff development meetings
  • Oversee professional development for all sales staff
  • Assist in hiring, training, and evaluation of sales team
  • Achieve overall annual revenue targets
  • Collaborate with RVP of Sales to create quotas, sampling strategies, and budgets
  • Attract, retain, and motivate high-performing sales representatives and part-time staff

Business Development (10%)

  • Engage in strategic planning and development of new business opportunities
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key executives and contacts within our largest customers

Marketing (5%)

  • Assist with the development of marketing plans for assigned territory
  • Aid in the development of necessary marketing tools and collateral to drive sales

Operations (5%)

  • Collaborate on the marketing, expansion, and development of all programs
  • Communication/coordination with supporting departments (i.e., Customer Service, Customer Success, Technical Support & Inventory) in reference to sales-related issues
  • Represent region at Executive Team meetings

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience selling and achieving goals
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience in the education industry and the K-12 market
  • 3+ years of sales management experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to develop strategic plans that support company goals
  • Ability to mentor and coach sales leadership and supervise and motivate staff in implementing and expanding sales
  • Strong sales skills in an education business environment; ability to find funding sources.
  • Experience selling to districts within the assigned region
  • Experience managing P&L and budget process
  • Experience leading a team of sales representatives

What We Offer

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000. This role is eligible for commissions based pay.
