Senior Director, Solutions Development

The Solution Manager role is to lead and coordinate the development of winning solutions for prospective clients in the Public Institution area (Higher Education, Government, Non-Profits and Non-Governmental Organizations, etc.) across Corporate Real Estate. This role is responsible for developing a complete solution, including collaborating with sales leads, pricing managers, subcontracting managers, subject experts and writing/ graphic support. This role is critical to the success of our sales team and integrated into all aspects of the sales cycle. This role is client-facing and will have exposure internally to the complete set of JLL capabilities to build complete solutions for our clients.   

  • This role will be the producer and project manager for all assigned opportunities. For each opportunity, the Solutions Manager will be directly responsible for developing clear, compelling solutions in response to each requirement. This responsibility will include coordinating and editing all subcontractor input, small business participation, subject matter input, assigned proposal writing and commercial baseline information into a single unified response with one voice.
  • Partners with sales leaders, functional subject matter experts, and proposal writers to create the most tailored, competitive solution possible for each client. 
  • Accurately interpret and structure responses based on RFP requirements.
  • Assists the sales leader in contracting by helping identify the best business terms language, developing contract exhibits, and conducting get-give analysis when applicable.  
  • Conduct and coordinate Site Tours 
  • Work closely with assigned pricing manager to understand and develop task analysis, make / buy decisions, subcontracting needs, management / administration model and corporate resource participation.
  • Develop and maintain needed benchmarks and analytics to support estimating and pricing.
  • Communicate with the delivery team and account management organization to support contract phase in.

Required  

  • Strong research, writing and graphic development skills to effectively communicate a complete solution that is client-specific that meets / exceeds the requirements of the solicitation.
  • Fluent understanding of Government solicitations, instructions and contract structures.  
  • Ability to lead creative or unique solutions development – thinking beyond what we have always done, creating a vision of what could be, driving through hurdles, and leading teams to develop unique solutions. 
  • Connection to Government industry research and trends for incorporation into our solutions, along with an understanding of the competitive corporate real estate landscape in the public institutions vertical market. 
  • Ability to partner, critical for success when working with internal Subject Matter Experts. While this role is an individual contributor, you must partner with a deep /and comprehensive set of SMEs to showcase the best of your capabilities.
