The Senior Director of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) will be responsible for creating and spearheading the strategy to build a true transformational function to meet significant business objectives. The role needs an influential leader that can gain followership quickly to earn buy-in from the organization. The roles need to develop and execute a high-performing team strategy to meet these critical business needs. The Senior Director will develop and drive the enterprise programs, project and change disciplines. They will enable rapid scaling and business value via delivery of complex, mission critical, transformational initiatives. They need to ensure key financial/operational performance targets are achieved.
What You’ll Do
Drive the leadership vision & strategy to transform the EMPO function to lead cultural accountability and achieve business outcomes
Spearhead Leadership for a portfolio of critical programs and projects. Ensuring program scope, schedule, quality and target metrics and benefits are defined and delivered
Leads standardization, quality and optimization across multiple programs and projects
Develops leadership capabilities within and across the team and the business. Has a passion for championing and developing others
Responsible to grow, develop and build a high-performing team for now, next and later
Partners with executive sponsors, initiative owners and program leadership to drive strategic focus, ensure roadmap delivery, mitigate risk and resolve performance and delivery gaps
Ensure program teams remain aligned with strategy and proposals for deviation are overtly managed
Directs and coordinates activities across program / project management team(s) to ensure progress occurs on schedule and within prescribed budgets, reviewing work plans, status reports, and compliance with governance protocol
Conduct long-term planning and lead complex cross-functional engagements that contribute to the strategic direction of the business
Drives the need for a clear business case and ensures approach is aligned to deliver desired outcomes
Collaborate and build partnerships with leaders across the enterprise
Fosters a climate of continual learning, business improvement and innovation
What We’re Looking For
12 or more years relevant operational and leadership experience
10 years or more years of program and project management experience
Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale change management within a complex, high-growth matrixed organization
Savvy to build and leverage cross-functional relationships to support programs / projects and development of business processes, setting priorities for multiple functional areas
Excellent organizational change management skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to present strategies and goals in an inspirational manner to large cross-functional, cross-domain or regional teams
Trusted consultancy leadership in a complex and diverse organization
Skillfully resolve conflict, persuade and negotiate with internal and external parties
Ability to adapt approach quickly and easily
Can make sound decisions in ambiguous or difficult situations, synthesizing information from multiple sources for effective decision-making, accountability management, and facilitating solutions across multiple groups
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written & verbal)
Bonus Points: Experience in FinTech, B2B, Payments preferred
