Here’s the Gist:

This single contributor role is responsible for engaging in all-hazards (non-IT) business continuity initiatives across the Wolfspeed enterprise. This includes cross-functional collaboration and making decisions in complex and multifaceted environments requiring a solid understanding of resilience practices and how they can be applied to the company’s business units and processes. In the absence of the program head, this position will serve as the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) primary point of contact (POC). This is a high-visibility position that requires distinctive critical and abstract thinking abilities, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to tactfully influence and drive decision making through a consensus building approach, strong business acumen and technical ability, and a consistent customer-service mindset. This position will play a vital role in the future expansion of our BCP capabilities as the organization continues to grow with business and operational expansion. This position serves in the company’s Global Protection division and reports to the Global Director, Business Continuity & Crisis Management.

The Day-to-Day:


  • Serve as a business continuity consultant, providing expert guidance to company peers and leadership.
  • Facilitate the completion, annual maintenance, and tracking of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), site risk assessments, and associated plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop, organize, deliver, track, and monitor the quality of business continuity training, education, tests, drills, exercises, and after-action reviews.
  • Represent the Business Continuity program during internal and external quality audits and develop dashboards and reports to track the health of the program.
  • Ensure ISO 22301/22361/31000/9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100D compliance through routine assessment of and alignment with program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as a Business Continuity Manager On-Call, facilitate response and recovery efforts, and provide support to business continuity teams, the crisis team, and senior leadership team members.
  • This role is subject to additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.


This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):


  • 5 years of progressive experience in business continuity planning and operations, preferably in heavy industry/semiconductor manufacturing or other multinational private sector industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business continuity, organizational/operational resilience, enterprise risk management, crisis management, or similar field.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), or higher-level BCP credential.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or ability to achieve within one (1) year of hire.
  • High degree of personal accountability and self-motivation and with the ability to take ownership of assigned projects, adapt to quickly changing environments and priorities, provide superior independent judgment, and work independently while recognizing and escalating risks and issues in relation to the delivery of outputs.
  • Ability to serve on a rotating on-call roster for business continuity and crisis management responses with 24/7 availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays), and to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the year.
  • Considerable experience and comfort working with Microsoft Office applications and emergency communications systems.
  • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
