Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

The Keller Group is actively working on an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist in Scottsdale, Arizona. Our client is searching for a dynamic AP professional to support high-volume, full-cycle Accounts Payable functions, and an individual who would be thrilled to join an innovative, forward-thinking organization.

This individual will also play a crucial role in supporting the team through a system implementation and invoice automation process. Previous experience with invoice automation is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and accurate payable payment processing by verifying, coding, and submitting invoices weekly.
• Review and process employee expense reports.
• Develop and maintain reports and files on the accounts payable processing.
• Communicate with vendors and internal customers regarding billing inquiries and issues.
• Prepare monthly accruals to properly reflect known payables.
• Verify, allocate, and prepare general ledger entries for reconciling account balances.
• Assist in month-end close related to the timing and accuracy of all expense transactions, accrued expenses, and monthly reconciliations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting or accounts payable.
• Previous experience in 3-way matching.
• Previous experience working through invoice automation.
• Experience with G/L and assisting in month-end processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Proven, solid Excel skills and exposure to automated accounting systems.
• Ability to keep up in a fast-paced organization and effectively multi-task.
• Hands-on team player who can work independently but also enjoys collaborating.
