Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager (internally referred to as a Client Lead) to join their joyful and driven team. This role involves executing and overseeing a full suite of cloud accounting tasks across various clients and industries. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing multiple clients remotely and a strong understanding of accrual accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and finance processes for 10-20 clients, including invoicing, bill-pay, payroll processing, monthly close, sales tax, and year-end preparation.
• Collaborate with the support team on service delivery by scheduling, delegating tasks, reviewing work, and providing warm and clear coaching.
• Serve as the primary client contact, answering questions with joy and advising on process improvements.
• Review potential clients' books to identify errors and assist sales in pricing new engagements accurately, including managing the necessary clean-up and onboarding work.

What background should have before you press apply!

• Multi-client cloud accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years running payroll, closing monthly books, and creating processes for cash and accrual-basis clients.
• At least 2 years of experience with QBO, Bill.com, Gusto, etc.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and experience maintaining detailed, audit-ready schedules for non-bank balance sheet accounts.
• Higher-education degree in accounting.
• Experience at a CPA firm or in public accounting is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills across digital channels and a desire to build relationships.
• Keen attention to detail, resourcefulness, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Openness to coaching and critiques, with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Excellent coaching skills and a desire to teach and mentor junior staff empathetically.
• Joyful and positive attitude in all communications.
