Meet Your Future Neighbors

Nextdoor is seeking a results-driven Business Development and Partnerships professional to accelerate monetization and product growth with our most strategic Search Partners. This role will establish and drive meaningful relationships with key ecosystem partners to deliver mutually beneficial product integrations. This person will work closely with product development, sales, and marketing teams to demonstrate the value of Nextdoor through search partnerships.

Our Search Partners have global reach, offer a wide range of capabilities, and are strategically positioned to help Nextdoor drive incremental growth and revenue - you’ll be at the forefront of developing strategy and managing execution for this critical segment of Nextdoor’s partner ecosystem.

Head Of Search Partnerships Responsibilities

  • Own the development and execution of Nextdoor’s Search Partnerships strategy
  • Manage Nextdoor’s key Search Partnerships to deliver results, build long-term partner relationships, and serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Initiate and lead exploratory talks to drive new business opportunities and product growth initiatives with these partners, working closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders as required
  • Identify new opportunities, lead negotiations, and manage integrations with new Search Partners
  • Develop deep product expertise, collect and synthesize meaningful data, and translate it into high-quality insights to inform and influence product and partner roadmap development
  • Participate in in-person Nextdoor events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and other team building exercises
  • Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor values

What You’ll Bring to The Team

  • 7+ years of experience in business development and partnerships within a fast-paced environment like technology, digital advertising, or consulting
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising industry, with an emphasis on Search, 1st & 3rd party ad platforms, and differing measurement methodologies
  • Experienced working with C-Level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management
  • Proven track record in managing complex partnership integrations from end-to-end
  • Well versed in managing complex commercial agreements
  • Preferred:
    • Understanding of Nextdoor’s products, advertising industry, and the advertising platform space
    • Experience presenting at an executive level
    • Excellent attention to detail, strategic and business acumen, and the ability to manage ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to form and articulate technical, financial value points, and strategic trade-offs with partners and internal teams
Rewards

Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package. Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $100,000 - $150,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography. Importantly, the compensation for this role also includes a variable incentive component, which will vary depending on your achievement of revenue-related goals and objectives.

We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.

Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
