Sales Operations Manager to lead and optimize our sales operations function. You will play a critical role in driving sales growth and efficiency by streamlining processes, managing technology, and providing data-driven insights to our sales team. This role manages a team of 10+ across customer service and inside sales, focusing on the CPG / Food.


Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:
  • Lead and motivate a team of 10+ across customer service and inside sales, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent for the sales operations team.
  • Manage performance reviews and career development plans for team members.


  • Sales Process & Technology:
  • Analyze, optimize, and document the sales process for all customer segments (retail, food service, hospitality).
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of CRM and other sales automation tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and develop reports to provide actionable insights to sales leadership and the broader team.


  • Sales Performance:
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales activity and performance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to equip the inside sales and customer service teams with product knowledge, selling skills, and effective use of sales tools.
  • Conduct sales coaching and feedback sessions to support individual and team growth.


  • Sales Pipeline & Forecasting:
  • Develop and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and opportunity qualification.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and track sales goals and quotas.


  • Strategic Partnership:
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless customer experience and achieve shared business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in sales operations and specialty food distribution.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or sales management, preferably within the CPG / Food.
  • Experience leading and managing people.
  • Proven track record of success in optimizing sales processes and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with CRM and sales automation tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Deep understanding of the retail, food service, and hospitality customer segments within the specialty food industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
