At SCI Direct, our mission is to provide peace of mind through end-of-life planning, offering families dignified and affordable cremation services. Voted a Great Place to Work for three years in a row, we are the largest US provider of At–Need and Pre-Arranged cremation services. Since 1973, SCI Direct has helped thousands of families pre-plan each year so nothing is left to chance at the time of need. Recognized as an essential business, we operate seven brands with locations throughout the U.S.: Neptune Society, National Cremation Society, Trident Society, Neptune Society of Northern California, Cremation Society of Virginia, Cremation Society of Pennsyvania, and All Faiths Cremation Society. Writer Julie Yip-Williams, who wrote and spoke movingly of her struggle with cancer before she died in 2018 at age 42, told her two young daughters, "You will be deprived of a mother. As your mother, I wish I could protect you from the pain. But also as your mother, I want you to feel the pain, and then learn from it. Be stronger people because of it, for you will know that you carry my strength within you. Be more compassionate people because of it. … Rejoice in life; live with special zest and zeal for me." For all lucky enough to celebrate this #MothersDay with their mother, we wish you joy. For all who are missing your mother, we wish you space to grieve and heal.
