We deliver Next Gen Core Services, NG9-1-1, wireless Enhanced 9‑1‑1 (E9‑1‑1), Text to 9‑1‑1, VoIP & VoWiFi E9‑1‑1 and related emerging technologies to Public Safety agencies, state, and local jurisdictions, as well as commercial Service Providers.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and market expansion in the Public Safety industry. With a focus on selling Comtech’s Next Gen Core Services (NGCS), ESInet, NG9-1-1, and AI assisted call routing and processing solutions.

This role is focused on new bookings, consisting of large multi-year government contracts, with long sales cycles. It requires strategic key account management, business development efforts, and cross functional team collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be located in the Western half of the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 years selling to public safety agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Telecommunications industry technical understanding.
  • Experience selling 9-1-1 call routing solutions.
  • Experience with Next Gen Core Services and NG9-1-1.
  • Experience with MEDDICC / MEDDPICCR or similar sales methodology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • This is a remote field-sales position located in the Western half of the United States with travel to customer sites required as needed and appropriate.
  • Professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Multi-year government contract creation and negotiation, e.g., 5, 7, and 10 year terms.
  • You’ll be responsible for creation and execution of key account strategies. Cultivating key accounts and shaping customer criteria long before purchasing time frames occur.
  • With support from the proposals team you will lead the response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), crafting strategic narratives that align with customer value propositions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Drive sales pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and deal closure, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, implementing best practices and sales methodologies to drive performance excellence.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date CRM information.
  • Support finance with invoicing and payment activities.
  • Adapt and customize current solutions to fit customer use cases and business cases.
  • Discover new potential sales opportunities by monitoring relevant standards organization activities and attending trade shows.
