The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Rebates program provides $8.8 billion in Federal funding for U.S. households to implement and install new electric panels, insulation and other necessary infrastructure. New York will be the first state to lead the charge in this and participate in the program, with residents getting access to the incentives this fall. Massachusetts, Michigan, and Rhode Island have also applied to start their own Home Energy Rebate programs. The Home Energy Rebates program is part of the Inflation Reduction Act.
